Illuminating an Architectural Gem – 10 South LaSalle, Chicago
Pivotal Lighting Design revitalized the exterior lighting of a historic-modern architectural marvel in downtown Chicago, addressing issues of disrepair and outdated systems. By introducing saturated blue lighting in the modern segment and warm white downlighting at the street level, Pivotal revamped the space while honoring the building's distinctive charm and energy efficiency goals, achieving over 65% energy savings. Despite challenges with the existing infrastructure, Pivotal implemented a sophisticated dimming control system that maximized usability and minimized installation costs, showcasing innovative problem-solving in architectural lighting design.
