Sarah’s relationship with lighting began at an early age with film photography and working in dark rooms. She continued her education by studying art history in high school and traveling all over Europe to learn art and the prominent and iconic architecture that shapes the world around us. .

Sarah graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in fine art. After a long stint working in technical sales at Autodesk, she shifted her focus to creation rather than selling, and went back to school to become a CAD expert. Since joining Pivotal Lighting Design, Sarah has worked on projects across the technology and healthcare industries, aiding in design for cleanrooms, hospitals, offices, and various other spaces.

In her free time, Sarah rides and builds custom Harley Davidson motorcycles, loves dirt biking in Colorado’s mountains, appreciates film photography, and spends time traveling, camping, and enjoying the outdoors.
