Krispy Kreme recently relocated their headquarters to a former warehouse, transforming it in to a modern industrial office featuring doughnut laboratories, cafés, stadium seating, multiple conference rooms, and an open work space for collaboration.

Pivotal was approached to provide custom architectural lighting services to enhance the working environment of the new facility. Various lighting approaches were studied in detail during the development of the lighting design concept. Some of these studies included how to facilitate wayfinding in large open spaces, how to balance electric lighting with existing daylighting, and how to effectively utilize the height of the space while providing proper illumination levels at all work stations.

Pivotal worked in collaboration with the architect to integrate Krispy Kreme’s iconic brand during the fixture selection process. Custom-built RGBW LED beacon fixtures were used to create an integrated color-changing “dot” wall controlled via DMX.
