Designed for a patient-centric experience, the team embraced the challenge of combining comfort with state of the art technology to create a building for healing.
The lighting design was coordinated closely with the architect to provide an engaging facility for patients, while promoting healing and science. Lines of light provide accent and wayfinding. Elegant pendants are located as visual cues for visitor and staff interaction. The majority of the building uses 3500K lamp color to coordinate with warm finishes and create a hospitality feel.
A backlit “glassbox” is used to provide a warm glow into the space and introduce another element of scale. Several mock-ups were coordinated to capture all details and prevent issues during final construction. The dining areas were provided with exterior views and a terrace to eat and relax. Ceiling mounted lighting was provided as a point of interest to stimulate visitors and provide ambience. A sanctuary space was designed for comfort and respite, while the executive area provided state of the art technology and minimalism.
